BODY READY

The series aims to explore body positivity looking at the different ways the skin folds and rolls creating patterns and shapes. The beauty industry and social media is constantly advertising the same ‘ideal’ body that everyone should aspire to, promoting unrealistic standards that can often be damaging to people’s self confidence. People should not have to hide or feel ashamed of how they look and this work shows the artist's body as it naturally is, with all its rolls and imperfections.
